How long does a bespoke piece take to build?

Most single pieces — a dining table, a bed frame, a pair of lounge chairs — leave the workshop within five to eight weeks of drawing approval. Larger commissions such as full living rooms or shop fitouts are scheduled in stages, and we confirm a delivery calendar before any timber is cut.

Do you work outside Johor Bahru?

Yes. The workshop is in Tebrau, but we deliver and install throughout Peninsular Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Melaka. For East Malaysia we arrange crated sea freight with a trusted forwarder.

Which timbers do you recommend for the Malaysian climate?

Kiln-dried teak, nyatoh and dark red meranti perform beautifully in local humidity. We also work with imported American walnut and white oak, always acclimatised in our store before joinery begins.

Can you build from a photo or a designer's drawing?

Absolutely. Many clients arrive with a magazine clipping, a Pinterest board or an architect's detail. We redraw the piece to suit your measurements, engineer the joinery, and send you a dimensioned sketch to approve before production.

Do you offer fabric and leather selection?

We keep a swatch library of performance fabrics, linens and full-grain leathers at the workshop, and we can source specific mills on request. Upholstery is done in-house by our own team.

Is there a warranty on your furniture?

Every piece carries a five-year structural warranty covering frames and joinery, plus a one-year warranty on upholstery and finishes. Fair wear, misuse and outdoor exposure of indoor pieces are excluded.

How is payment structured?

We take a fifty percent deposit to book your slot and order materials, and the balance on completion before delivery. For commercial fitouts we agree progressive milestones in the contract.

From first conversation to final polish

Consultation

We talk through the room, the use, the budget. Bring photos, sketches or nothing at all — we measure on site around Johor Bahru.
Drawing & quote

You receive a dimensioned sketch, timber and fabric options, and a fixed price. Nothing is cut until you approve.
The build

Your piece is joined, sanded and finished by the same small team, with photo updates at each milestone.
Delivery & care

We deliver, install and level everything ourselves, then leave you a care kit and a five-year structural warranty.

Humidity is the quiet enemy of furniture in Malaysia. Every board in our store is kiln-dried, then rested in our workshop for weeks before it meets a saw — so your table stays flat long after the monsoon season.
